Re: How to earn money writing online?

The first site I ever submitted anything to was HubPages. It is a revenue sharing site, but also offers an Apprenticeship Program (which I have just started). I would suggest signing up with them, reading what others have written on the subject of writing, then write some of your own Hubs. If you ar...

Re: How hard do you work for success

I spend several hours a day at my computer writing, reading and posting in forums. I am finally beginning to see some positive results as the majority of my writing has been submitted to revenue sharing sites such as Helium and HubPages. I also post to my blogs, write books and whitepapers and take ...

Re: Fiverr

I have been a member of Fiverr for several months now, but have yet to make any money. I had what I thought were reasonable gigs for a good price, but had no takers. I too couldn't believe what some people will do for five bucks (or shall I say less, after the fees mentioned in previous posts). I ha...

Re: Revenue share writing or Independent blogging?

I do both revenue share and blogging. I am starting to see some consistent income from HubPages, and I have been submitting articles there since January 2010. I do have to point out I only have 56 articles submitted on the site; had I been more diligent in submitting there I am sure the revenue shar...

Re: Writing for revenue sharing sites?

What do you think of writing for revenue sharing sites as a source of online income? It doesn't pay you a load at first, but if you work at it, things stack up really easily. I have been writing for two sites: Knoji, and HubPages. Knoji pays well, while for HP, I'm waiting for AdSense approval. Do ...

Re: Revenue share writing or Independent blogging?

So, I have a question about these sites, that I suppose I could find out on my own, but I'll ask anyway. Are you submitting articles on subjects that they want or is it more like you are writing a blog, but they have the site for you to house your work? I get the views, get money part, but I'm more...

Re: Mylot

I signed up for MyLot at one time, but quickly realized it was never going to earn me enough to reach payout. I think I earned 25 cents and I spent A LOT of time there when I first signed up. There are other ways to earn money communicating with others, and on sites that have a lower payment thresho...

Re: Keep Spirits Up

That is really encouraging. I've just started trying to make money at home, and the biggest problem I've faced is wasting hours of my time online. It's so frustrating for me because I think, 'All that time I spent looking for leads, I could have been making money!' A journal or app to write down yo...

Re: How hard do you work for success

I work a minimum of about five hours a day. I've manged to figure out a system for one of my jobs to maximize the goal of what I'm doing and crunch it into a small window of time. So, that frees up time for the other ventures in between shifts. Now, it's a matter of smoothly adding them into my day...

Re: Interesting ways to earn online

There are a lot of GPT sites out there; the question is which are reputable? Some have ridiculously high payment thresholds most people will never reach so do be wary of any promising riches. Personally I have found writing to be the most profitable, be it posting on forums, writing articles or writ...

Re: Fiverr

The Fiverr market has most definitely become over-saturated. For those of us trying to make an honest living with our writing careers, sites like Fiverr can have detrimental effects. Why would anyone pay writers to do an article or blog post for $15 or $20 when they can go to Fiverr and get one for ...

Re: How hard do you work for success

Sugarhill and dziomek: What app do you use to track your time? Is it free from online somewhere? I'm not sure if it would be considered success, but I currently have just gotten started making money online. Re: How You Make Money Online.

I have submitted articles to sites such as HubPges, Helium, Knoji and more. My main site right now is HubPages as I am starting to see a consistent increase in my earnings. I also post on various forums for some extra money, which has been working well. The best part is I can transfer my earning to ...

Re: Money On Computer - Where to Start?

Personally, I think the best way to start making money online is to do something that you get paid fast and easily. This way you will feel encouraged when you see the money adding up in your account. My suggestion is to do paid forum posting. It's easy and you earn very fast even though the pay may...

Re: Revenue share writing or Independent blogging?

@Sugarhill - You're very welcome. :) I wish I had known some of these things when I started, but at least now I can help others who are just getting going. If I can help others avoid some of the mistakes I made than I am very happy.

Re: Any Other Programs Then Clickbank?

Personally, I think if you want to sell products online, the best products to sell are digital products. People who go online are mostly people who want things now and want instant gratification. With digital products, customers can immediately get the product after payment. Clickbank has always be...

How much time do you spend on your affiliate programs?

Personally, I have not spent a lot of time on promoting my affiliate programs as I prefer to spend my time writing. Re: Money On Computer - Where to Start?

Well, the forum posting is working out well, but the real money would be the article writing and that is what is hanging me up right now. I need to balance the two so they can both get done as the site that I want to work on has a time limit on the articles that they request and I need to find a bi...

Re: How hard do you work for success

I use an app for Android called Time Recording Pro. It's just like any time clock that a regular job would have. You punch in and out and it tracks everything for you. It's been invaluable. Re: Writing for revenue sharing sites?

Is it not possible to pull your writing off the other sites and move them to your HubPage? If you still retain the rights, you should be able to close an account, no? I don't see why not. In all honesty, I hadn't thought of that. I may have to do a little homework soon and see what I can do. I know...

Re: What are your work from home tips?

Try to stay on task and close your social networking sites; it is too easy to get distracted by them. If you are marketing, then it is alright to have them open, but if you find yourself switching from Facebook or Twitter to your blog or website (or whatever you happen to be working on) then it is t...

Re: How to earn money writing online?

I have added a couple of titles to Kindle and Amazon myself, and have another to edit. I haven't made more than a few dollars with them, but as I add more I'm confident the earnings will increase. I read somewhere that if you have more than one title in bookstores (be it online or brick and mortar) ...

Wow! Congratulations on the $5000 win! I could only wish. :) You said it was deposited into your PayPal account? Re: Advice from seasoned "Ebayers" please?

Shell323 - yes, that does make more sense. I didn't realize PayPal had a section like that, and I have been using PP for years. I too think just cashing them in for Walmart & gas cards is probably your best bet; unless there is something on eBay you would like to have. I don't know what your hob...

Good to hear you found a way to get some real cash back. Re: Writing for revenue sharing sites?

Yes, definitely look into that. If there is a minimum number that automatically brings in money and you can dramatically increase your number with a couple of tweaks, you have to try. Even if you can't pull the articles, you should be able to put some sort of twist on them to post them on your HubP...
