Agreed. On-page Optimization matters a lot but people skip it for backlinks!

What do you mean by custom design signs exactly?

Google and other search engines no longer consider the keywords meta tag, but they are smart enough to figure out what keywords and phrases have been used in the pages content, title and meta description.

Forum-Posting is mostly in the routine SEO activities list for most SEOs and hence it contributes a considerable number of backlinks. So, don't you think it is useful?
