Re: Flippa.com - Don't start a business, buy one that works

Great idea for someone maybe that's had a redundancy pay out. I would be a bit scared of manipulated stats and figures when buying an established business, any tips on protecting yourself from shady dealers? I guess just simple things like just typing the keywords into google and checking is a good ...

Re: 35k to invest

stop being so sensible! I would go for an antiques/collectibles type store - have a go at upcycling and try to get some ebay/mail order stuff going along side it i reckon.
either that or frozen meals for fat people that are too lazy too work out a sensible diet :)

Adding a Jobs Board

Is a jobs board something you would consider for your site?

I have been considering adding one to my site, but would be a bit worried about it getting filled with work at home "opportunities" rather than genuine online work.

Anyone got one/had one/dumped one??

No Competing Freelance work

I'm just reviewing a new freelance site which looks really good. http://www.ziptask.com once you've filled in the application form and have been accepted, you download their app and jobs are sent to you for review. You dont have to bid or compete with anyone else for the work. You get paid per minut...

Re: How to build up freelancer career?

You may be best off starting a blog, then offering your services for free to begin with on sites such as myblogguest to build up samples of your work. When you guest post you will be allowed a link in your author byline, so use that to get exposure to your blog. Also try blogging.org or build a prof...
