I know that from what I read Google hit automatic link building services hard. Is this something which would fall under it, free traffic system, I read about this and it seems automatic to me. Is this something I should use or not use because I do not want to rank highly only to see my site decimated a day later.

Which free traffic system are you talking about Waynefire? Personally I dont think google likes automatic link building programs, link building is no substitute for genuine original content, a bit of SEO and natural organic growth, this is the best for rankings in my opinion and in my experience. Why would google send their customers, their searchers, to a site with a million links pointing to it, if the site has not got what the person is really looking for, content?

a free traffic system is not link building i would have thought link building was creating links while a free traffic system would be actual visitors to your site hence the word traffic + system

Is free traffic system the same as traffic exchanges? If it is then Google won't like it especially if you have Google ads on your website. You'll get banned permanently for using traffic exchanges. Traffic from such sources is totally useless for yourself too and not just for Google. I think it's best to get a small amount of genuine traffic that will buy your product than getting thousands of paid or free traffic from traffic exchanges that are not the least interested in your product.

I was talking about Free Traffic System, it is an actual system which you submit posts to different blogs. I seen where some of the blog networks were hit hard by the search engines.

Ah thankyou for that Waynefire, I could not work out what you meant. I would keep clear of that system myself.
