I have been earning online by typing captchas on different captcha typing websites but nowadays not enough work is available on these websites. Do anyone knows about some good captcha typing sites which pays good rates and pay via liberty reserve or payza??? :)

you could try keyforcash.com - the entrance test is really long though, not sure how they pay, no mention of it in faq - you may have to contact them.

Before I found better methods of making cash online I tried CAPTHA typing one night and I found it an even worse experience than PTC sites. You seriously get paid pittance. Less than $1 per hour, to me it's just not worth it. Plus some of the time there would be no image to type and I'd have to sit there and wait as if you miss an image or type too slowly you start to get penalized. :?

keyforcash.com sounds like a more proffesional site though! :)

I signed up but didnt hear anything back from them, i guess i just wasn't good enough! I would get bored at around the 10th task anyway, i have no idea how anyone could sit and type thousands of them..

They say that once you get a hang of it, it becomes very simple and you don't even notice the time or the boredom. I can imagine that would be so as there was a task on MTurk that was pretty dull overall, but I just counted down the amount that I wanted to do and got it done without too much mental effort.

Here are 2 sites that I have worked in the past

http://captchatrader.com/

The pay isnt' great there, but there has been a lot of work

The other site is megatypers. You need a code to register there. Here's one if you want to use it.

http://www.megatypers.com

megatypers pays a little better, but captcha isn't going ot make you rich.

no doubt megatypers is a good site to earn money at home but now their pay rates are down to 0.60$ per 1000 correct images and little work is available.

I have seen some of these advertising lately, but the pay rate was extremely low. I mean like .05 for every 100. So it was to low for me because I can get a ton of other work done in that time period. I think the latest ones I seen were on an online money making site, but cannot remember the name of it.

Everything is good and nice with captcha typing sites but the work is very lengthy and payout is less. Also most of them has high minimum payout. So that doing 100s captcha also wont let you cash out so easily.I prefer PPC sites more that Captcha typing.

The pay is fairly low, but I keep them around in case I ever max out my other sites.

Wow, I tried KeyForCash last year, but never heard back from them. The images they had were a little confusing, to be honest. Although these opportunities sound interesting, I probably won't make much off of them especially seeing the posts above stating that the pay is per 1000 correct captchas. That's extremely low, but if someone is looking to make money on their spare time, this is a great resource. Thanks for sharing guys!

Key for cash pays per character, .30 per 1000 characters, which is actually a better rate than per captcha.

Thanks for posting this question! I did not know people actually type those. They are a pet peeve of mine. It makes me feel like I can't read properly. lol!!! But if there is a profit to be made, I will try anything once.

Even with getting every captcha right, the pay off is not worth it from what I've seen, and from a post I've read elsewhere, getting 50 cents for 1000 captchas is just not worth it at all.

Most of the people that manage to stay with Key for Cash have the complete mindset that it is nothing more than a little pocket money. They are doing it to kill time and they have no grander expectations for it. That's what I was able to gather while reading a board dedicated to the topic.

Would there be any other sites that I can consider aside from Megatypers and Captcha Trader?

I'm not a fan of the captcha opportunities. The pay is peanuts, especially considering that you're working for next to nothing for the sole purpose of making it easier for spammers to do their job.

Key for Cash is legit (no helping out spammers there), but the pay is probably equally low.

You can usually find some easy data entry work on Amazon mTurk. There is a requester there by the name of Oscar Smith who usually has some easy work to do.

Anna T, from what I've heard, Key for Cash is very legit. Not the easiest to get in, but it is legit. Very nice on naming the specific requester on MTurk. Not many people would do that. What kind of money does Oscar normally pay out for his jobs?

Oscar Smith doesn't pay a ton, I think it's only around two to five cents per business card. What you do for him is look at images of business cards and then type the text from it over into a field. Everyone starts at two cents but if you have good quality and do good work, he may bump you up to the five cent jobs. The pay is not great obviously, but it's better than nothing, and totally legit.

I love working for Oscar Smith on MTurk. He's quick to accept your hits and so you can get the money quickly.

I've never considered actually typing captchas for cash, but I've always been looking for companies that sell completed captchas. Thanks for all the referrals to who'll obviously sell this service.

It still sounds like something that you can try to get done in an hour or two and do as many as possible. If the pay is consistent, you can just make a schedule and a daily goal, hit that and move onto the next task. I think I've actually seen that particular job and passed it over. I may look at it again. Thanks for the information.

You too, Making Cents.

Can anyone give me some good tips to clear the keyforcash evaluation test because I tried it many times and my percentile did not increase more than 80 and please explain me the meaning of this rule "key a leading hyphen if the number appears inside <>".

If the number is inside a () or a <> the number is considered negative. Therefore (52) would be keyed as -52.

Is there anyone that's still working any of these sites? Its my first time hearing about the personally. I'm all for trying something new to make a little bit of pocket money. I like doing the whole lots of little things add up. I signed up for MegaTypers. It seems pretty easy so far. I can understand the frustration with the amount of time it would take for the money to add up. But, at the same time... You are doing so little brain work and actual "work" it does not really seem like it is that unworth it.

I know a lot of people like Key for Cash, but I don't recall reading too many personal accounts about MegaTypers. I'm shocked that you wouldn't spend more time with the Q & A thing. Is there a limit on how many stacks you can get during the week?

Haha, when you have been doing it as long as I have you get burned out pretty quickly. You get one set of 300 questions at a time (and you select and answer 250 of them). You have to wait for an editor to review and OK your answers and then you have to wait to receive a new batch when you have completed your work. It usually takes 24-48 hours for you to get another batch when you have completed your previous one.

The money on that particular job is definitely better than any of my other options and I do have the tendency to put it first. But, when I have down time I like to look for other options. If that makes sense. I tend to get bored doing the same thing all the time as unfortunate as that is.
