BoostCTR

Unread postby » AnnaT » Sun, 8 July 2012, 3:17 pm | #1 of 19 |

Have any of you tried this yet? You're basically typing out 30 to 40 word Google ads for BoostCTR's clients. This is done via a contest platform, so the ad you write has to go up against someone else's, but if you win, you get the money.

It's really easy, and the ads pay anywhere from $2 to $30. I've been paid by them, and the work is actually pretty fun.

This sounds good thanks I will be looking into this and posting back. Do they tell you what the acceptance for the ad is worth should you win the contest?

Great lead! I've never heard of this, but I'm willing to try it out. It looks different and fun, so why not? How long have you been with them?

I can vouch for this opportunity. It's not really hard at all and it's a great way to earn a little extra money. I've found the ads are easy to write and they provide some excellent resource materials for you to review once you are approved as a writer. Great and legitimate opportunity.

You're welcome! I think you all will really like it. The owners of the site claim you can earn $20 an hour writing ads if you're good at it, but I have not tested that theory out yet to see for sure. Would be awesome if you could, though!

Thanks for the info. I completed the application process. I think I did a pretty good job explaining why I liked my preferred ads.

I applied a week ago, and I only got a confirmation message saying they received my application. How long does it usually take them to review and accept writers? Is there a lot of work available on the site?

Oh, there is an application process? I haven't gone over yet. How long did it take to fill out? What were they looking for? Writing samples?

MOC, I keep meaning to go, but I haven't yet. I have made it a mission to go today. I'll let you know what happens when I do. I want to see what this entails for the upcoming week.

Thanks Sugarhill, to me this sounds like it would be a legitimate program which is obviously funded by their members who want the new ads, and it could be a bit of fun competing for the money! :)

Very interesting, I think I will take a look. Trying to base everything around my full-time job at the moment so something I can do in my own time like this could work really well.

Just doing sign ups etc. on Microworkers isn't too stimulating so could do with something more writing focused. Thanks for the heads up!

I really want to see how it compares to Picky Domains and their process. I like Picky, I just haven't been able to put in enough time to it, so it should be interesting to also see the time demands being successful at both of them requires to pay off.

Okay, I went to check it out. I wasn't able to read the FAQ and I couldn't get past the initial application screen as I don't have a website or a LinkedIn account. I also wouldn't have been able to honestly put down any time for my work as a copywriter, so it may be a great opportunity, but not for me.

I'm sorry that I couldn't provide much more of an opinion on the job.

I signed up to these guys on Friday and took the test. Quite interesting as each question is based around you choosing what you thought was the most successful campaign out of two PPC choices. You had to outline your reasons why and the questions are as much about what you chose as why you chose it.

Looking forward to hearing back from BoostCTR and having a chance to submit my own work.

Please let us know how it goes and works out for you. Even though I couldn't do it, I do want it to be a good opportunity for those that can.

Hi AnnaT. I signed up with BoostCTR and took their test. I immediately got a confirmation email from them saying that I will be let in when they have offers open. It also said that if they don't respond within a week, it is a good sign, and it means that they like my submission.
So, I haven't heard from them, and I think it has been more than a week.
Just wondering - how long did it take for you to get your first opening? I mean, the number of days after you signed up?

I was wondering about how this turned out for people. So, I guess they are saying that they immediately turn people down, but eventually hire the people they want? That's still nerve wracking. I hope it works out for you as I would love to know their work process.
