Hi guys - Does anyone upload videos as a source of income?

I'm just doing a review of http://www.break.com ,it looks really interesting. Has anyone been paid for their videos from here?
If you upload a popular (must make the homepage) original video they will pay $400 if you sell it to them, or $200 just for the license - up to $600 paid for any subsequent material.

No copyright material and no youtube content, and the videos must be your own.

Anyone know if this is legit? I'd love to hear if anyone has been paid by them.

Its not legit at all.And it seems like a scam to me.This is possible on other sites like youtube say u make a video and it goes viral and u have adsense then yes u could make that kinda money were talking 10 mil views tho.But if u a partnerd then yes.And i know of people who used them but as i said its a scam and wont help in anyway.I could be wrong but when told by a Machinima partner it has to be legit.Sorry if me making all these youtube refs is not what u want but its realistic.

thanks avatar:) do you have any info on flixya & metacafe? break has been registered since 1998 - could a scam possibly keep going that long? is it just that it is very difficult to get your video to the homepage - or do they not pay out at all?

No, it sounds like a scam. If you are looking to make money off of videos I'd suggest signing up as a Youtube partner. They make money for every time their page is viewed or their video is viewed. I believe it is $2.50 per thousand views for the video, but more for each time the user's actual page is viewed since it has ads.

Dasani there is little chance of becoming a partner u cant just sign up. Dont post if your not posting something that actually works or he can get easily.

I have heard of this before. The video if you get it to go viral like someone else said can make you a fortune in adsense. If you sell the video to the company and it goes viral you just get the one payment, but the company makes thousands off of your video.

so a video that goes totally viral and gets 100,000,000 one hundred million hits would earn as a youtube partner $250,000 correct?
