When searching the forums be it for New Posts, Active Topics or while just browsing the forums etc. you will now get a preview of the first posted text when you hover your mouse over the topic link. Topic previews are also available for the similar topics results that are shown at the bottom of topics, when available.

If you want to disable this feature, you can do this by navigating to the 'Display Options' page in your user control panel, or by clicking this link if you're logged in ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=view and disable the setting for 'Display topic previews:'. If you disable this feature, you will be shown the default tooltips over topic lists that indicate of unread posts etc.

In addition to this, I have added a jQuery tooltip preview so you will need javascript enabled in your browser settings. A jQuery 'tooltip' allows the topic preview to display for a long period. And, as you don't receive normal tooltips in mobile browsers (not the mobile browsers I have used) this importantly adds the preview function to mobile browsers. I have currently tested chrome and opera classic (my favorite mobile browsers) on jelly bean and if you touch the topic link container for the topic you are interested in, the jQuery will display the first-post-text on your mobile as it does now on desktop.

If you have visited the forums before these functions may not be active until the files relevant to this change are checked and refreshed by your browser. So while viewing a web-page you can press and hold CTRL and then press F5 to refresh the information, or you can clear your browsers cached files and then simply reload the page to see the most current html.

Currently, I'm working on a new quick search, new graphics etc. Any other ideas guys? We would love to know so put them in a post and your ideas may become a working part of the MOC Forums in the future.
