AVZoom an avatar

AVZoom is an original idea that came from the desire to see a members avatar at a larger size. What could have been done was something similar to what ReIMG image resizer does (just expand the image), but we wanted more information and specific member details available upon display of the larger avatar view as well.

Details: The avatar is scaled from its original size to 500px wide. The height is variable so it will keep the correct image aspect. If you upload an avatar, the max. size you can upload is 125px wide by 100px high, so the result of the AVZoom will be an image zoomed to 4 times the size of the original image, and reduced image sharpness may be noticeable.

Alternatively, if you link to an image for your avatar of a larger size from another website (we recommend >= 500px wide), your AVZoomed image result will be sharp. On your edit avatar page in control panel, you need to manually specify an allowable avatar display size, if you choose to link to a larger off-site image.

The AVZoom page will show if a member is currently online, like the public profile page will do if user was active within the last 60 minutes. It shows a users rank, number of posts made by that user and also above the zoomed avatar, if the member has entered a website address in their profile, it will display that website link. This in turn will lead to more clicks to your chosen website if you are an active member here. You can now click the AVZoomed avatar to return to the members public profile, or click the back button to return to previous page.

You now gain star power by posting. Currently, public profile and AVZoom pages display a star for every 100 posts you make.
EDIT: Topic pages will now reflect your star rating, they are seen underneath your avatar and ranking information in posts.

Just as a side note, if you find a little green icon next to a members avatar while reading in topics, that member was online within the last 60 minutes. You can AVZoom or view their profile to see how many minutes ago they were last active on site.

We hope you enjoy these new features. This topic will be updated as any features are changed. Have a great day!
