Which one is better for SEO? Uploading the video directly to the website or uploading the video to YouTube and embedding the video on the website? What are the Pros and Cons of these methods?

Uploading the video to Youtube and embedding it in your website is best, as it will not cause any loading issues, and your page speed will remain fast, on the other hand Youtube is a videos social network you can get traffic from there too. So it is best practice in my opinion to add videos from Youtube in your website.

uploading a video to YouTube cant drive traffic more! instead, you can submit into various video submission sites!

Embedding the video will be a better option as it will not affect the website speed in a way uploading a video will do
