I have observed that Google search results are different by the browser Chrome and Firefox. Chrome and firefox are two major browser. But why does it show different results on Google search? Can anyone explain the matter?

To test if the results are different, first check that you are not logged in to your Google account on either browser. Clear cookies, cache and all prior browsing history. Also possible is that your location is being determined while using one browser and not the other. Hope that will help katherinetkey :)

Google search results depends on your Google Plus profile as well. If you are logged in with different IDs in different browsers then the results will show a slight difference.

I think the variation in displaying the results in the search is due to the database collection that are performed by few specific algorithms of search engines.
