You may be best off starting a blog, then offering your services for free to begin with on sites such as myblogguest to build up samples of your work. When you guest post you will be allowed a link in your author byline, so use that to get exposure to your blog.

Also try blogging.org or build a profile on freelancing sites such odesk, etc (personally I wouldn't want to give a middle man a cut of my earnings though!)

You could also submit articles to sites such as dailyarticle and hope they get picked up

You can also find work on most money making forums, but the competition is fierce so your pay won't be great until you build a reputation.

Sites such as Postlinks are always looking for article writers for their articles.

I'm looking to outsource some of my articles, do you have any preferred topics?

We have 2 great freelance writers on here: Dziomek and baddog - I'm sure they will give you a few tips, and check out their blogs :)

Hope that helps a little

For a starting point, what she said ^ will get you well on your way. Good advise to follow from the soon-to-be-ranked 'Forum Pro' Money On Computer member! :)

That is a good idea of yours to become a freelancer. To become a freelancer you will have to create a belief in your customer's mind that you will help them in flourishing their business by using traditional method of marketing. Then only you can become a freelancer.
