Ezinearticles Good For Backlinks?

I know when I first started exploring marketing Ezinearticles was considered the best thing going. However, I am curious what is the best thing since they have gotten slapped hard. What do you use and what kind of success have you had using it?

I think it should work in bringing in minimal traffic at the least but don't expect it to be much.
